Innovation, leadership, and a passion for android development.
I'm Chris Rich—an Android developer, problem solver, and builder with over a decade of experience crafting seamless mobile experiences. From startups to industry giants, I’ve led teams, tackled complex technical challenges, and delivered high-impact applications that enhance user experiences.
I thrive on solving problems, optimizing performance, and turning ideas into intuitive, high-quality mobile products. Whether it's architecting scalable solutions, leading development efforts, or mentoring fellow engineers, I take pride in creating software that makes a difference.
When I’m not coding, you’ll find me outdoors—fishing, exploring, or coaching my daughter’s soccer team. I believe in balancing work with the things that bring joy, and I’m always up for the next challenge, both in tech and in life. Let’s build something great together.
I started my journey in software development with a strong foundation in engineering and a love for problem-solving. My early roles allowed me to work across different aspects of mobile and full-stack development, sharpening my skills in building scalable applications and understanding the intricacies of user experience.
At Intel, I was part of the New Technology Group, where I led Android development for innovative wearable devices. I contributed to products like the Oakley Radar Pace and MICA, working on applications that pushed the boundaries of hands-free interaction, fitness tracking, and real-time data processing. This experience gave me a deep understanding of hardware-software integration and the challenges of developing for emerging technologies.
As the Lead Android Developer at Zoom+Care, I played a key role in building their mobile application, creating a seamless experience for users to schedule appointments, find clinics, and communicate with providers. At DAT Solutions, I worked on the MyDAT Trucker app, improving accessibility and functionality for truck drivers across the country. These roles reinforced my ability to translate business needs into intuitive mobile solutions.
My time at eBay was a defining chapter in my career. I spent several years leading teams to develop high-impact features for millions of users worldwide. From managing Android identity and security initiatives to creating localized mobile experiences for international markets, I played a key role in delivering robust and scalable solutions. I enjoyed mentoring engineers, driving technical strategy, and ensuring our mobile applications met the highest standards of performance and usability.
Now, I continue to focus on Android development, bringing my experience in mobile architecture, performance optimization, and product strategy to every project. Whether leading a team or contributing as an individual developer, I’m passionate about building intuitive, high-quality applications that solve real-world problems.
Outside of work, I balance my time between family, coaching my daughter’s soccer team, and enjoying the outdoors—especially fishing. I believe in continuously growing, learning, and taking on challenges that push me to be a better developer and problem solver.
Let’s build something great together.
